      Blackboard Integration Guide

      Learn how to setup an integration with Blackboard LMS.

       

      Our Blackboard integration allows you to:


      1. Create Blackboard accounts for new participants from ApprentiScope
      2. Enroll participants in Blackboard courses from ApprentiScope
      3. Sync final grades between Blackboard and ApprentiScope upon completion


      1. Setup REST API Integration in Blackboard


        1. Login to your Blackboard account and visit your Administrator Panel
        2. Locate the Integrations card and click REST API Integrations
        3. Click Create Integration
        4. Create an integration with the following information: 
          1. Application ID: 99447423-26fc-4f2c-8562-abbd67c3e715
          2. Learn User: any user in your organization
          3. End User Access: Yes (default)
          4. Authorized To Act As User: Service Default (No)



      2. Configure LMS Integration in ApprentiScope


        1. Login to your ApprentiScope account
        2. Visit your Settings & Permissions page
        3. Select the Integrations tab
        4. Select Blackboard from the System dropdown
        5. Enter your Blackboard URL under the Domain field
          1. Example Blackboard URL: companyname.blackboard.com

      3. Map ApprentiScope Courses to Blackboard Courses


        1. Select an occupation to map and visit it's Occupation Details page in ApprentiScope
        2. Click the Related Instruction tab and select a course
        3. Locate the Course ID field below Description, and enter the Blackboard Course ID. Blackboard Course ID can be found in Blackboard under the courses table as shown below
        4. Repeat this for all courses and occupations you'd like to map to ApprentiScope

       

      4. Sync Existing ApprentiScope Users with Blackboard 


        1. Visit your Apprentice Overview page
        2. Select the apprentices you'd like to enroll in Blackboard
        3. Select Actions, then click Register in Blackboard
          1. If there is an existing user in Blackboard under this email, it will simply link the accounts, whereas if there is not a matching user, we will create a new user and link the two accounts.
