Learn how to reset an authenticated participant's password.
Note:
- Participants with valid email addresses and authenticated accounts, meaning they already have ApprentiScope access, have the ability to reset their own password. This is recommended as a best practice (link below). However, you can use the Steps below to reset it for them, BUT you will need to communicate the new password to them.
- If you have authenticated participants who do not have valid emails but you want to provide them with platform access, you can use the process below to rest their password and then send them both the invalid email used to create their account & the reset password. With both, they will be able to log into the platform with limited permissions.
User Types: Regulators & Sponsors (for sponsor subscriptions) & Employer Administrators (for Employer Subscriptions)
Step 1: Navigate to a Participant's Profile Details Page.
Step 2: Click the 3 Vertical Dots in the top far-right corner and then click Reset Password.
Step 3: Enter a New Email for the Participant & Click Submit.
Note: The password will NOT be automatically sent to the participant. You will need to communicate it to them.
