Learn how to create multiple permission groups for the same user type.
User Types: Regulators, Sponsors & Employer Administrators
Notes:
- ApprentiScope provides pre-set user types (ie supervisor, sponsors, etc). Each user type has a list of possible permissions that can be set for anyone assigned to that user type. See Overview: User Types, Settings & Permissions for a full discussion of how subscriptions, user types & permissions work.
- If some users need more or fewer permissions than their standard user type has been give, you can create a special permission group for this subset of individuals. For example: if most of your mentors need all the mentor permissions but there is a subset of mentors who you don't want to have a certain permission, create a new permission group for that subset of mentors using the instructions below.
Step 1: Click the Settings (Gear) icon in the Toolbar in the Upper Right Corner of the Dashboard to Go to the Settings & Permissions page
Step 2: Select Groups and click the blue New+ button
Step 3: Fill out the Title of the Permission Group as well as an optional description.
Step 4: Select the User Type that most closely fits the subset of individuals. Each of these individuals will need to be initially invited to that user type. If they already have an account, you can select them from the Member list below. If not, still create your permission group and then use Step X below to later add them to this permission group.
Step 5: Select what Permissions the individual(s) will be allowed to do within the platform.
Step 6: To Edit a Permission Group - click on the title of the group. You can add/remove individuals & select/deselect permissions.
